My girlfriend works around Gray's Inn near High Holborn St., downtown London. This is a lamppost I sketched in a small park in Gray's Inn Field on our morning walk to her work. Also included here is a sketch of two men in a pub (The Penderel's Oak - also on High Holborn). I think I captured the contrast in their faces (and characters?) well enough...

Tom, I love your art work! I personally liked your sketches of Gray's Inn and Goodenough College, as I went there for uni many eons ago. It was a nice trip down memory lane. Since you're around Holborn, how about some sketches of Lincoln's Inn too? Seeing London through your eyes is magical :)
Thanks for your kind comment - it's nice to hear from a Goodenough alum! And I agree... Lincoln's Inn is beautiful. I've been meaning to sketch around there so will try to post something soon!
